We will finish going over the review sheet during class tomorrow. If you will not be in class tomorrow, make sure that you understand how to work problems 4 and 5. These problems are similar to problems 23, 28, and 29 from the homework. If you do not understand these problems, let me know via email.

The quiz on chapter 11 will be administered during class on Monday. We will be conducting a lab next week. If you are planning to miss a day next week, let me know ahead of time.

The following homework problems starting on pg. 383 are due tomorrow: 23, 28, and 29. On number 28, assume that HCl is the excess reactant. We will go over these homework problems tomorrow and begin reviewing for the quiz on Friday. If you will not be here on Friday, you have the option to take the test early (on Thursday) in order to prevent yourself from missing class on Monday.

Make sure that you understand the homework problems we checked in class today. I would recommend reworking at least numbers 11, 14, and 15 for class tomorrow. I will teach limiting reactant and percent yield problems tomorrow. There will be corresponding homework problems due Wednesday (the day after tomorrow). Thursday will be a review day, and the quiz on chapter 11 will be administered during class on Friday.

If you missed class on Friday, you still must turn-in your homework on Monday. (The homework was assigned on Thursday.) Make sure you understand how to solve these problems before we move on to limiting reactants and percent yield.

The exam on chapters 8, 9, and 10 will be administered during class tomorrow. The exam will cover nomenclature, Lewis structures, equations, and the mole. I have shared the review lectures through Google Drive. If you have questions about any problems on the quizzes, just watch that part of the review lecture. Blank copies of the quizzes are available below. If you can work each of the quizzes within thirty minutes without any aids, you should be ready for the exam tomorrow.

As you know, the nine weeks exam has been moved to this Tuesday. The exam will still contribute to your Quarter 3 grades. Since the exam is worth 100 points, this test can really help or hurt your grade. You are allowed to bring a cheat sheet, which I will discuss in further detail on Monday. You can also ask me any questions at anytime via email or in class on Monday.

If you need more practice on naming and writing formulas, check the last blog post. If you need more practice on Lewis structures rework the Lewis Structures Worksheet, but this time make sure to draw the BEST Lewis structure (by calculating formal charges). If you need more practice on equations, rework the Equations Worksheet. If you need more practice on the Mole, rework the example problems from lecture and the homework problems.
